San Bernardino County Human Services’ employees, together with the County Administrative Office and Human Resources, raised $20,492 during a month-long food drive supporting Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County’s (CAPSBC) annual Holiday Basket Program.
Donations collected through the drive were distributed at a series of three turkey giveaway events held in Joshua Tree, San Bernardino and Adelanto for residents experiencing food insecurity. In total, 1,652 turkeys and holiday meal fixings were provided to nearly 5,000 individuals and households with more than 30 community partners offering support and information on essential programs and services.
“The county’s partnership with CAPSBC helps families who rely on food banks to continue to receive the support they need,” said Fifth District Supervisor and Vice Chair Joe Baca, Jr.
