Sold Home For Sale Sign in Front of New HouseSan Bernardino County Tax Collector Larry Walker reminds the public that August 1 is the deadline to register for the August 9 auction.  The San Bernardino County Tax Collector will hold its online re-offer auction of tax-defaulted properties starting Saturday, August 9, with staggering closing times lasting through Friday, August 15.

This re-offer auction will consist of over 1,500 properties that have been tax-defaulted for five or more years.  This auction primarily consists of parcels that have been previously offered and are being sold at reduced prices.  Bids will start as low as $100, and the highest bid wins.  Tax information, maps and other due diligence material is available for viewing online at www.MyTaxCollector.com. Property is sold “as is,” and purchasers are encouraged to complete a thorough due diligence review prior to bidding.

“Bidders have the opportunity to buy real estate at potentially reduced prices,” Walker said.  “We continue to expand our outreach effort to increase awareness about the tax sale auctions.  Our goal is to get tax-defaulted properties back into tax paying status to fund key public services including education, police and fire protection, social and public health services.”

Auction properties include single-family residences, timeshares, commercial buildings and vacant land.  To participate in this auction, deposits are due by 5 p.m. on August 1, and you must pre-register to bid.  For more information regarding this tax sale, please visit www.MyTaxCollector.com – it’s easy, secure and Simply A Better Way To Do Business®.
