The Department of Community Development and Housing would like to invite everyone to participate in a vital needs assessment survey for the upcoming 2015-2020 Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan. The survey can be accessed online at the link below or by attending a Community Development meeting scheduled throughout the County(see linked flyers below for additional information as well as dates, times and locations of meetings).
The public’s input is essential in order to identify community development and affordable housing needs and set priorities for investment of federal grant funds to address them. A second fair housing study, called an “Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice” is also being conducted and will identify barriers to equal access to housing and will propose fair and affordable housing strategies to overcome those impediments.
The online survey is currently available to receive public input through November 17, 2014 at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/SanBernardinoCounty.
A draft of the completed plans will be posted for public comment beginning early 2015 at http://www.sbcountyadvantage.com/Housing-Development-Division.aspx.
