The 2016 Presidential Primary Election is being held today, June 7. There are more than 780,000 voters in San Bernardino County eligible to vote in this election. San Bernardino County results can be viewed here.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters can find their assigned polling place on the back cover of their Voter Information Guide, online at SBCountyElections.com, or by calling the Elections Office at (800) 881-VOTE (8683) or (909) 387-8300

Go-Vote-500x500Voters must have chosen a party preference by May 23 to vote in that party’s presidential primary.  For this election only, the American Independent Party, Democratic Party, and Libertarian Party allow voters who have not chosen a party preference to vote their party’s ballot.

Mail ballot voters received their ballots on May 18 and nearly 100,000 voted ballots have already been returned. Those voters who have not yet returned their voted mail ballots can still return them via the U.S. Postal Service, but ballots must be postmarked on or before today, June 7, 2016, and received no later than three business days after the election to be counted.

Alternatively, voters can deliver their ballots to any one of 57 mail ballot drop-off locations, to one of three Early Voting sites, or to any of the 407 polling places on Election Day. The three Early Voting sites will also have mail ballot drive-thru drop-offs on Election Day so voters can deliver their ballots without having to get out of their cars.  All mail ballot drop-off locations, early voting sites, and polling places can be found on interactive maps on the Elections Office website at SBCountyElections.com.

At every polling place and early voting site, voters will be able to take a ballot selfie with their un-marked ballots and their ‘I Voted’ stickers in front of a new Ballot Selfie poster, and are then encouraged to share their experience with their friends and family through social media.
