San Bernardino County Veterans Affairs Director Ralph Duarte

San Bernardino County Veterans Affairs earned $1,002,750 in state revenue generated by Veteran Services Officers (VSO) in claims filed for federal benefits for veterans and their families. The state grants 11 million dollars in revenue each fiscal year to be paid to all 58 counties on a pro-rata basis measured by county VSO office performance.

The department received notification from the California Association of County Veterans Service Officers (CACVSO), an organization of professional veteran’s advocates committed to an efficient system of services and advocacy to veterans, that they will be awarded the highest share of the $11 million among the 58 counties to help fund operations.
