The Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk is offering this service at Calico on Halloween to shine light on the holiday’s popularity for marriage ceremonies, as it ranks the second busiest day for the County Recorder-County Clerk’s office, allowing couples to celebrate their special day in a uniquely themed setting. This event not only enhances community engagement, but also adds a festive twist to a significant occasion for many.

The Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk’s office will be on-site to facilitate all necessary paperwork, perform the ceremony and ensure a seamless and stress-free process for couples. Meanwhile, the Regional Parks Department will enhance the experience with their expertise in creating beautiful and memorable events in the great outdoors.

- Personalized Ceremony: Our teams have designated a scenic location within Calico Ghost Town for your ceremony, that captures the rustic mining camp and charming old-time streets.
- Historic Setting: Immerse yourself in the rich history of Calico, a well-preserved Old West ghost town that offers a nostalgic backdrop for your special day.
- On-Site Services: Convenient access to county services, including marriage licenses and officiating; and there will also be special Calico Ghost Town vendor amenities available.
- Family and Friends: Invite your friends and family to witness your special event.
- Admission: Daily admission is $8 for adults, $5 for youth (4-11) and children under the age of 3 are free.
- Camping: Camping and rental units subject to availability and can be reserved at https://www.sbcountyparks.com/.
