We would like to thank Heidi Wilson of Yucaipa for submitting outstanding photos of her favorite San Bernardino County destination.

Joshua Tree National Park is about 90 minutes from San Bernardino and is much like a playground for people who love nature, rock climbing, photography and outdoor adventures. Driving through the enormous park is like exploring another planet with the incredible Joshua trees and rock formations. The best time to visit is when it’s not too hot outside, but even in the summer, you can go at night to enjoy the dark sky and have a clear view of the stars and Milky Way. It is best to have a full tank of gas and plenty of water before entering the park. You can stop by a welcome center or park store to pick up a map and talk to the rangers about popular sites.
