San Bernardino County Animal Care successfully hosted the California Adopt-A-Pet Day event on Saturday, June 7, at the Devore Animal Shelter.

A total of 32 animals—26 dogs and six cats—were adopted during the event, including 24 pets placed with individuals and eight through partner rescue organizations. The event offered free adoptions for qualifying pets and provided a welcoming space for families looking to add a new member to their household.

The success of the day was made possible through the support of our community and event partners, including the PAW Mission, Petco Love Lost, Paws at Main, County Office of Emergency Services, County Library, County Environmental Health Services and Kona Ice.

This milestone also comes as San Bernardino County Animal Care reaches over 3,000 Instagram followers, with community engagement continuing to grow across platforms.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Animal Care team, volunteers, partner organizations and all who helped make the event a success. Your efforts gave 32 pets a new beginning in safe, loving homes.
