Bloomington’s fourth annual National Night Out lit up Ayala Park on Tuesday, Aug. 5, bringing residents together for an evening of fun, connection and community pride. The event gave neighbors a chance to meet and interact with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, County Fire, and more than 30 local community and government agencies.
This year’s celebration included a special moment with the unveiling of a newly constructed Veterans Monument honoring the brave men and women of our armed forces.
Attendees enjoyed a lively mix of activities, from mingling with resource providers to exploring vendor booths filled with tasty food, sweet treats and unique goods. The Bloomington Recreation and Parks Department kept the energy high with a DJ, food trucks and the grand reveal of the park’s brand-new splash pad, an instant hit with families.
National Night Out is a nationwide campaign held on the first Tuesday in August, which aims to foster partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve while strengthening neighborhood connections. Bloomington’s celebration once again proved that when the community comes together, everyone wins.
