Join us for the Fall Wellness Extravaganza, a free community event filled with fun, connection and wellness for all ages.

The county departments of Behavioral Health, Public Health, and Aging and Adult Services are coming together to host a free Wellness Carnival on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 2–6 p.m. at the San Manuel Stadium in San Bernardino. This collaborative event is designed to bring together kids, teens, parents and grandparents for a day filled with games, entertainment and wellness activities — all with the goal of strengthening intergenerational bonds and promoting community well-being.

Intergenerational connections are at the heart of this event. Research has shown that when people of all ages gather, learn from one another, and celebrate together, communities grow stronger, healthier and more resilient. Events like the Fall Wellness Extravaganza provide opportunities for older adults to share wisdom and experience, while youth bring energy, creativity and fresh perspectives. These connections build empathy across generations and foster a culture of mutual support.

For Behavioral Health, Public Health and Aging and Adult Services, collaboration is essential. Each department brings unique expertise — mental health and wellness programming, public health education, and support for older adults. By combining these strengths, the Fall Wellness Extravaganza becomes more than just a fun community day; it is a model of how government agencies can work together to create meaningful, accessible opportunities for residents across the lifespan.

Brittny, an attendee of last year’s Wellness Extravaganza, shared why this event is so impactful:

“Events like Behavioral Health’s Fall Wellness Extravaganza are vital because it’s not every day families can come together and have fun at no cost, with something for everyone. No matter your age, background, or family size, you get to spend an entire day simply enjoying yourself and one another — and that, in itself, is wellness.”

The Wellness Carnival reflects the county’s commitment to building a connected, healthy community — one where families can come together, support one another and enjoy a day that celebrates wellness across all ages.
