Election Day at the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters was a great success, due to the dedication and hard work of our election workers. Our amazing team of 6,000 trained individuals worked tirelessly before, during and after Election Day to ensure everything ran efficiently and securely. They prepared materials, set up polling locations, assisted voters, and tabulated ballots, playing an essential role in the democratic process.
“Election workers in San Bernardino County are essential for maintaining the integrity, accuracy and efficient operation of the election process both on Election Day and afterward,” said Registrar of Voters Joani Finwall. “It is genuinely a collaborative effort.”
These dedicated community members receive thorough training to assist voters and ensure a streamlined and safe election. Whether checking in voters, guiding them through voting procedures or handling ballots, election workers are essential to Election Day in San Bernardino County.
Sharon, who duplicates ballots damaged by rips or spills, knows the hard work required to prepare them accurately for counting.
“The teamwork is unbelievable. I feel like it’s my duty to give back and let people know how well we work together and how much effort goes into it,” Sharon said. “It’s an honor to be able to serve my country this way.”
Ashley, an experienced election worker, has participated in multiple elections.
“During the days leading up to the election and on Election Night, we’ve seen the excitement and meaning behind the work that we do,” said Ashley. “Our efforts make a difference for all the voters that come out to cast their vote. We’re working to ensure every vote counts.”
The dedication of election workers extends beyond the closing of polls. Following Election Day, they maintain the utmost standards of accuracy and integrity, ensuring that every vote is counted and fostering public confidence in the election process. Their efforts embody the essence of democracy, illustrating that every role, regardless of its perceived significance, contributes to a fair and transparent election.
Sharon and Ashley serve as San Bernardino County election workers and process ballots until December 2, the State of California’s deadline to certify election results.
