The San Bernardino County Library is spreading holiday cheer this season through a special partnership with Children’s Fund by hosting a Celebration of Giving Toy Drive at 28 library branches countywide from Nov. 21 through Dec. 9.
Community members are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys at participating library locations during this period. All donations will directly support Children’s Fund’s annual Celebration of Giving, which provides holiday gifts to children and youth in need throughout San Bernardino County.
“Our libraries are places where the community comes together, and this partnership is a wonderful way to share kindness and generosity during the holidays,” said County Librarian Melanie Orosco. “Every toy collected represents more than just a gift—it’s a reminder to a child that they are valued and cared for by their community.”
In lieu of donating physical toys, community members may also support the toy drive by:
- Shopping from the Children’s Fund’s Amazon Wishlist for children ages 6-8.
- Shopping from the Children’s Fund’s Amazon Wishlist for teens.
- Making a monetary contribution directly through their website.
For those who prefer to ship items directly from the Amazon Wishlists, the donated Wishlist items may be mailed to: Children’s Fund, 348 W. Hospitality Lane, #110, San Bernardino, CA 92408. These options provide an easy way for residents to contribute from anywhere, while ensuring children receive meaningful gifts during this season of giving.
Children’s Fund’s Celebration of Giving program serves thousands of local children who are experiencing poverty, homelessness, abuse, neglect or are placed in foster care. Each toy collected helps ensure every child receives something special during the holiday season.
Residents can drop off donations at any of the 28 participating County Library branches, conveniently located throughout the High Desert, Mountain and Valley regions. A full list of participating branches is available on the department’s website.
The County Library invites residents to join this countywide effort to make the holidays brighter for children across San Bernardino County. Together, our community can make a meaningful difference—one toy at a time.
