We would like to thank Heather Hill of Redlands for submitting outstanding photos of her favorite San Bernardino County destination.
Momeyer Trail in Forest Falls is a great trail, especially in the fall. Part of the trail is sunny and exposed while other parts are shaded, so bring layers and a hat. When you park in the lot, be sure to display an Adventure Pass. To begin the hike, you’ll need to cross over Mill Creek, but cross with caution when the water is high. Once across, head up the trail. About three miles into the trail, you do not need a hiking permit; however, once you go past the wilderness boundary sign, a permit will be required. A free permit can be obtained at www.sgwa.org. The trail can take hikers to Alger Creek or to Dobbs Camp. It can also connect hikers to San Bernardino Peak or even Dollar Lake Saddle, which leads to San Gorgonio Mountain.
