Child Support Operations Manager Wendy Rosales has dedicated 12 years of service to the county. The department recognizes and appreciates her leadership, commitment and the meaningful impact she continues to make.

Wendy Rosales began her career in the private sector, spending 10 years developing strong customer service and operational skills. After a decade in that field, she sought a more meaningful path and an opportunity to give back to her community. In 2013, Rosales joined San Bernardino County as an office specialist II with the Child Support Services Department.

Her first assignment was in reception, where she greeted and assisted customers upon arrival. Rosales quickly earned a reputation for professionalism, compassion and reliability, taking pride in delivering high‑quality service in every interaction. She was soon promoted to fiscal assistant and later advanced through several positions, including child support specialist trainee, child support specialist I, child support specialist II, supervisor and finally to her current role as child support operations manager.

Throughout her career, Rosales worked across multiple sections of the department. Each assignment expanded her understanding of operations and strengthened her commitment to supporting local families. She made it a priority to learn, grow and refine her skills in every role.

Rosales also contributed to the department’s Practical Application Team, where she helped interview, hire and train new staff. Her efforts improved onboarding, strengthened training practices and supported employee retention. She found great fulfillment in helping others develop and succeed.

Most recently, Rosales took part in a department‑wide case review project. Working with the executive leadership team, she helped test and train a new program designed to improve work quality by identifying errors and enhancing data reliability. The project benefited the entire department and reinforced her belief in collaboration and continuous improvement. Rosales’s leadership style is positive, supportive and motivating. She is dedicated to developing staff by offering guidance, encouragement and meaningful opportunities for growth. Rosales strives to bring out the best in each team member, helping them build confidence and realize their full potential. Creating a collaborative, uplifting environment where people feel valued and empowered remains at the heart of her approach to leadership.
