The San Bernardino County Library is expanding its commitment to student success by introducing Homework CA with Tutor.com, a new statewide online tutoring service that complements the library’s existing Brainfuse HelpNow platform, providing library cardholders with even more free academic support and learning resources.
Brainfuse HelpNow is a trusted online tutoring platform that provides live tutoring, writing assistance, test preparation, study tools and career resources. Together, Homework CA and Brainfuse HelpNow offer students and lifelong learners greater flexibility in accessing expert academic support whenever and wherever they need it.
“The County Library has long been committed to helping students succeed by providing free access to Brainfuse HelpNow,” said County Librarian Melanie Orosco. “The addition of Homework CA with Tutor.com builds upon that commitment by giving our community even more options for personalized learning, test preparation and academic success. Whether students need help with tonight’s homework or are preparing for college entrance exams, the library is here to support them every step of the way.”
Homework CA with Tutor.com provides 24/7 live, one-to-one tutoring in both English and Spanish, making expert academic assistance available around the clock.
Homework CA features include:
- Live one-to-one tutoring available 24/7 in English and Spanish
- Tutoring in English, math, science, social studies, reading, writing and world languages
- Support for Career Technical Education (CTE) courses, including communications, criminal justice, hospitality management and more
- Tutoring for AP, ACT, SAT and International Baccalaureate (IB) coursework
- The Princeton Review® ACT, SAT and AP preparation resources, including full-length practice exams, detailed score reports, interactive video lessons and practice drills
- College admissions planning tools from The Princeton Review
- Study Skills Coaching to improve organization, time management and academic performance
In addition to Homework CA, the County Library continues to offer Brainfuse HelpNow, which includes:
- Live online tutoring
- Writing Lab with personalized feedback
- Homework help
- Skills-building lessons
- Practice tests
- Adult learning support
- Career resources and résumé assistance
- Veterans’ resources
The service is available at no cost with a County Library card. Residents who do not yet have a library card are encouraged to register online or visit their nearest library branch to begin accessing Homework CA, Brainfuse HelpNow and the library’s growing collection of free digital resources.
