Veterans in Barstow and surrounding communities now have an opportunity to meet with a Veteran Service Officer every month.

The San Bernardino County Departments of Veterans Affairs and Aging and Adult Services-Public Guardian have partnered to bring vital veteran services to Barstow. As of Feb. 20, veterans in Barstow and surrounding communities now have an opportunity to meet with a Veteran Service Officer for assistance with veterans benefits and disability claims the third Thursday of every month from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Aging and Adult Services Barstow site.

In addition to Barstow, County VA provides assistance to Morongo Basin veterans on the second Wednesday of every month at the Joshua Tree Courthouse from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

These collaborations expand local access to veteran services and reduce travel burdens for residents in rural communities. No appointment is needed, and services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
