County employees will host the 8th annual food drive this October, benefiting communities throughout San Bernardino County.

San Bernardino County Human Services (HS), the County Administrative Office (CAO) and Human Resources (HR) will participate in the 8th Annual Human Services Food Drive this October to support the Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County (CAPSBC).

Organized by the county’s Transitional Assistance Department, the food drive brings together 21 HS departments, the CAO, and HR to help fight food insecurity during the holiday season. The virtual food drive runs through Oct. 31, 2025. All monetary donations will support CAPSBC’s Holiday Basket program, which provides food to families across San Bernardino County.

In 2024, county employees raised $19,532 for the program. The goal for 2025 is to raise $25,000.

“Every dollar raised through this food drive goes directly to helping families in our community enjoy a warm meal during the holidays,” said Transitional Assistance Director James LoCurto. “With the support of county employees and partners, we hope to surpass our goal this year and make the season brighter for thousands of families across San Bernardino County.”

Employee donations will also fund CAPSBC’s four turkey distribution events across the county. This year’s events will provide 2,600 turkeys and 2,600 holiday food boxes to low-income families.
