In celebration of Head Start Awareness Month, Congresswoman Judy Chu presented a ceremonial check to Second District Supervisor Jesse Armendarez, marking $850,000 in Community Project Funding for the San Bernardino County Preschool Services Department’s Upland Head Start facility.
This crucial funding will support the facility’s relocation and upgrades, enhancing spaces for learning, family engagement, and staff support.
These improvements reflect the county’s commitment to achieve the Countywide Vision by providing high-quality services that create a safe, nurturing environment for young children to thrive.
The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors extends its deep gratitude to Chu for securing these resources and highlighting Head Start programs’ invaluable role in supporting early childhood education, health and family well-being nationwide.
