Public Comments

Scheduled meeting agendas are posted five days before the Advisory Redistricting Commission meetings. Please go to the calendar to find the current Advisory Redistricting Commission public meeting schedule.

To provide comments to the Advisory Redistricting Commission outside of the agenda timeframes, please email redistricting@sbcounty.gov and your comments will be forwarded to the Commission members.

Comments submitted on this page will be provided to the Advisory Redistricting Commission and made part of the meeting record if received prior to the end of the meeting.

The Advisory Redistricting Commission will hold public hearings pursuant to the provisions of the Ralph M. Brown Act and the Governor’s Executive Order N-08-21 dated June 11, 2021, enacting COVID compliant guidelines.

The Advisory Redistricting Commission public hearings are open to the public, for public participation.

The following applies to public hearings:

  1. The public may view the public hearings live stream at https://sbcountyredistricting.com/calendar/;
  2. If you wish to make a public comment prior to the public hearings, please submit comments via U.S. Mail*, email at redistricting@sbcounty.gov or online at https://sbcountyredistricting.com/public-comments/. Comments received prior to the start of the public hearing will be forwarded to the Advisory Redistricting Commission for review;
  3. If you wish to make a public comment while watching the live stream, please submit comments, limited to 1500 words or less, to https://sbcountyredistricting.com/public-comments/. Comments received prior to the end of the meeting will be provided to the Advisory Redistricting Commission after the meeting.
