San Bernardino County residents, including veterans, seeking employment opportunities are encouraged to attend upcoming job fairs hosted by the county. In addition to meeting potential employers, Veterans Affairs will have information on benefits and programs for county veterans and their families at two upcoming job fairs.
Barstow Job Fair
Open to veterans and all county residents, San Bernardino County’s Workforce Development Department will hold a job fair on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cora Harper Community Center, 841 Barstow Road in Barstow. This free in-person hiring event will have nearly 30 organizations available to help job seekers secure a new job. United States military veterans can learn more about receiving all the benefits they have earned through their military service. Supervisor Hagman’s Veteran Claims Event
Fourth District Supervisor Curt Hagman and San Bernardino County Veterans Affairs are holding a Veteran Claims Event on Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 14010 City Center Drive in Chino Hills. Veteran Service Officers will be on-hand to answer questions about existing claims, file compensation claims, conduct benefits assessment interviews, issue San Bernardino County Military Veteran ID cards and more. Veterans Job and Resource Fair
Open to United States military veterans, the free event will be held on Friday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ovitt Family Community Library, 215 East C Street in Ontario. Veterans will have the opportunity to meet potential employers, start their career and learn about resources for veterans and their families. Veterans should bring a copy of their DD-214, resume, California ID and Social Security Card.
