Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector Ensen Mason is pleased to present another riveting story of the many great county residents that have served in his position since 1853.
Richard “Dick” Larsen had an extensive career with San Bernardino County and the city of Redlands. In 1998, Larsen was elected to the position of treasurer-tax collector and served as assistant treasurer-tax collector from 1987-1998. Prior to this office, Larsen was chief auditor of the Department of Social Services from 1978 – 1987 and served as chief information officer for the San Bernardino County Information Services Department in 1997. In 2005, Mr. Larsen was appointed public administrator adding to his duties of treasurer-tax collector. From 1983 to 1987, Larsen served on Redlands City Council as a councilmember and mayor pro-tem.
