The San Bernardino County Public Defender’s Mobile Defense Program will provide mobile court services in Barstow on Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at the Barstow Church of God in Christ, located at 1375 Bishop Nathaniel Jones Jr. Way. The Mobile Defense Program is designed to provide equitable access to justice for all San Bernardino County residents by offering legal services and remote access to court.

Services at the event will include record-clearing expungement assistance, requests to clear bench warrants, modifying misdemeanor summary probation and re-enrollment in court-required classes. These services, provided by the Public Defender in partnership with the San Bernardino Superior Court, aim to help eligible individuals clear their records and create opportunities for a fresh start.

In addition to legal services, local organizations, including the High Desert Black Worker Center, G.O.G.O. Barstow and the Victor Valley Family Resource Center, will offer free resources such as food distribution and additional community support services.

The San Bernardino County Child Support Services and Transitional Assistance Department will also be available to assist with active cases and provide application support for individuals seeking benefits. Arrowhead Regional Medical Center’s Mobile Medical Clinic will also be on-site, sharing resources and connecting attendees to medical services and support.

Sign-ups will be accepted on the day of the event. However, pre-registration is strongly encouraged to ensure assistance can be provided, as space is limited.
