Get ready for an exciting update! The Reel Reality Fentanyl Awareness Film Contest for the Second District, originally set for March 15, is moving to April 12! The Reel Reality Film Contest is a collaboration between Second District Supervisor Jesse Armendarez, San Bernardino County Public Health and San Bernardino County Behavioral Health. It was created to raise the voices of local students and bring awareness of the dangers of fentanyl in our community.
Students from AB Miller High School, Etiwanda High School, Jurupa Hills High School, Rancho Cucamonga High School, Summit High School and Upland High School will showcase short films created to spread information, share resources, and break the stigma surrounding the fentanyl epidemic in our community. An award ceremony and free Narcan training for the community will follow the film presentations.
This red-carpet award ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 12, from 11 a.m. to noon at the AMC Victoria Gardens 12 Theater, 12600 N. Mainstreet, Rancho Cucamonga.
Student filmmakers, faculty, family members and the entire community are encouraged to attend, support the voices of our youth, and learn life-saving information. To RSVP for the Second District Reel Reality Red Carpet Ceremony, please visit https://www.eventcreate.com/e/reelrealityarmendarez.
