CFS Director Jeany Glasgow named 2025 Alumna of the Year by Loma Linda University for leadership in child welfare.

San Bernardino County Children and Family Services Director Jeany Glasgow was named Alumna of the Year by the Loma Linda University School of Behavioral Sciences during its 2025 commencement ceremony. The accolade recognizes Glasgow’s extraordinary dedication to public service and her transformative leadership in child welfare.

A distinguished alumna, Glasgow delivered a compelling keynote address to the graduating class, drawing from a rich career dedicated to serving children and families.

She spoke from the heart saying, “Be a light in dark places, be a voice for the voiceless, and a balm for the broken. Never forget, this calling is about people with real pain and real potential.”

Her words resonated deeply with graduates, emphasizing that the field of behavioral sciences demands more than professional skill, it demands compassion, integrity and a profound respect for the humanity behind every name.

With over 29 years of expertise in providing child welfare and mental health services, Glasgow has significantly advanced key child welfare outcomes such as safety, permanency and family support. Her efforts have prioritized preventive services and strengthened community partnerships, resulting in measurable improvements for vulnerable children and families throughout San Bernardino County.
