San Bernardino County has honored outstanding public communications achievements by county departments with the Golden Arrowhead Awards. Now in their second year, the awards recognize county communications professionals who strive to keep residents informed and connected to county government services.
More than 200 entries across 23 categories highlighted the county’s success in communicating with residents through graphic design, writing, video production, photography, social media, public outreach campaigns and innovative uses of technology. Each entry was independently evaluated and scored by a distinguished panel of judges, including Emmy-winning journalists, communications executives and public relations professionals.
“I want to extend a heartfelt congratulations to this year’s honorees,” said County Chief Communications Officer Martha Guzman-Hurtado. “Thank you for everything you do to strengthen the connection between the county and the communities we serve. To see your work recognized by such a high-caliber panel of judges is both an honor and a testament to your commitment to excellence in public communications. Again, congratulations on this well-deserved recognition.”
Guzman-Hurtado, along with Chief Financial Officer Matthew Erickson and Assistant Executive Officers Gilbert Ramos, Diane Rundles and Michael Vu honored the finalists and presented the awards last week.
