We would like to thank Jesse Dinkel of Yucaipa for submitting outstanding photos that capture the beauty of our county.
This week’s column focuses on wildlife at Yucaipa Regional Park, which is a popular destination for birdwatching and nature photography. Beyond its wildlife, the park offers fishing in three lakes, walking and biking paths and green open spaces for soccer and disc golf. Visitors can also enjoy tent and RV camping sites, as well as large group shelters that accommodate up to 350 people and include built-in grills with power and water.
During the summer, the park opens its swim complex, which features dual flume water slides surrounded by sandy beach areas. Additional amenities include a playground, picnic tables and grills. The park also offers year-round activities such as horseshoes and pedal boat rentals. Visit parks.sbcounty.gov to learn more.
