BizHUUB, one of four award-winning Economic Development Department programs, connects entrepreneurs with free business resources, funding and expert support.

The San Bernardino County Economic Development Department has been recognized with four National Association of Counties (NACo) 2026 Achievement Awards, highlighting the departmentโ€™s innovative programs and commitment to strengthening the countyโ€™s economy, supporting businesses and advancing community development.

The award-winning programs include:

Repositioning an underserved corridor: Valley Boulevard Revitalization Initiative

NACo recognized the countyโ€™s partnership with the Urban Land Institute (ULI) to develop a revitalization strategy for the Valley Boulevard corridor in Bloomington. Through a collaborative technical assistance panel, the initiative produced a development-ready framework focused on infrastructure improvements, land use modernization, housing expansion and investment strategies designed to attract private development and support long-term economic resilience.

SelectSBCounty.com: Expanding economic development through digital infrastructure

NACo also recognized SelectSBCounty.com for expanding access to economic development resources through a modern, Americans with Disabilities Act-accessible digital platform. The website provides businesses, investors and entrepreneurs with self-service tools, including economic data, site selection resources, business assistance, film permitting information and interactive mapping. During the current fiscal year, the website surpassed its third-quarter engagement goal with more than 87,000 on-site clicks.

San Bernardino County BizHUUB: Connecting entrepreneurs to opportunity

The Economic Development Department was honored for implementing BizHUUB, a centralized, bilingual resource that connects entrepreneurs with business support, technical assistance, educational workshops and expert guidance. Designed to serve businesses across the nationโ€™s largest county by geographic area, the platform has already registered 190 businesses while expanding equitable access to consulting services and growth resources, particularly for women-owned and Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC)-owned businesses.

From Visibility to investment: Showcasing San Bernardino County through Site Selection Magazine

This award celebrates the countyโ€™s strategic marketing partnership with Site Selection magazine, which positioned San Bernardino County before corporate executives and site selection professionals responsible for major business investment decisions. The feature highlighted the countyโ€™s strengths in advanced manufacturing, health care, aerospace and defense, logistics, transportation infrastructure, and strategic mineral extraction, helping further establish San Bernardino County as a premier destination for business investment and job creation.

These national recognitions reflect the Economic Development Departmentโ€™s continued commitment to innovation, collaboration and creating opportunities that strengthen the regional economy while enhancing the quality of life for residents and businesses throughout San Bernardino County.
