With a County Library card, residents can:
- Borrow books and more: Check out books, audiobooks, DVDs, magazines and other materials from any of the library’s 32 branches. You can also place holds and return items at any location.
- Read and stream anywhere: Enjoy instant access to eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, movies, music and research resources through Libby, CloudLibrary and other digital collections.
- Access technology: Take advantage of free Wi-Fi, public computers, remote printing and online databases covering topics such as job searching, legal forms, health information, auto repair and more.
- Explore California: Borrow a California State Library Parks Pass for free day-use admission to more than 200 participating state parks. From mountain trails and scenic lakes to coastal escapes, your next adventure may be just a library card away.
Residents can register online in minutes for a free digital library card and begin accessing digital resources immediately. To enjoy full borrowing privileges for physical materials, simply visit any library branch with a valid photo ID and proof of address.
Programs that spark curiosity
Learning doesn’t stop at the library shelves.
Throughout the year, the County Library offers free programs and events designed to inspire residents of every age, including:
- The popular Summer Reading Program, featuring prizes, live performances, science activities, storytelling and family entertainment.
- Storytimes, crafts and educational activities that encourage young readers to imagine, create and grow.
- Computer classes, career development workshops, SAT and ACT preparation, high school equivalency support and language-learning opportunities for teens and adults.
- Free at-home access to ABCmouse Early Learning Academy for children ages 2 to 8, helping to build early literacy skills and confidence before they enter the classroom.

California residents can apply online for a digital library card or visit any of San Bernardino County Library’s 32 branches with a photo ID and proof of address to receive full borrowing privileges. Lost cards can be replaced for $2, and accounts may be renewed online or by phone.
