We would like to thank Gary Mumaw of Rancho Cucamonga for sharing outstanding photos that highlight another unique San Bernardino County destination.

The South Fork Trail offers hikers a chance to experience the beauty of the San Gorgonio Wilderness. The trailhead sits at approximately 6,900 feet along Jenks Lake Road, which is about 2.5 miles from Highway 38. Along the trail, hikers follow a gradually ascending path through the surrounding forest toward South Fork Meadows. From there, hikers can turn left toward Dry Lake, which sits at an elevation of approximately 9,000 feet.

For detailed directions to Dry Lake through the South Fork Trail, please visit the San Bernardino National Forest’s website.
