

San Bernardino County In-Home Supportive Services is hosting an IHSS Caregiver Spring Training Summit to support and inspire San Bernardino County IHSS providers. The summit will be held on April 9 at the Goldy S. Lewis Community Center, 11200 Baseline Road in Rancho Cucamonga.
The training is free to registered San Bernardino County IHSS providers and offers two sessions:
- Morning session from 9 a.m. to noon (check-in 8 – 8:30 a.m.)
- Afternoon session from 1 to 4 p.m. (check-in noon to 12:30 p.m.)
The summit features a series of expert-led training sessions on the following topics:
- Caring for clients after hospital discharge
- Recognizing the signs and symptoms of abuse
- Caring for a client living with a mental health challenge
- Managing agitation and aggression in dementia
- SAFEZONE: Providing an inclusive environment for clients
- Heat-related illness care
- Death and dying: Caregiver grief and loss
- Strategies for supporting clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Basics of navigating health plan services
