The Department of Aging and Adult Services – Public Guardian breaks record attendance at 37th annual MDT Conference.

The Department of Aging and Adult Services – Public Guardian (DAAS–PG) successfully hosted the 37th Annual Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Conference, welcoming a record 406 attendees. The event brought together 37 presenters, 36 sponsors, 28 vendors and 13 dignitaries, highlighting the impact the event has across San Bernardino County and beyond.

“We are incredibly proud of the record turnout and the meaningful connections made at this year’s conference,” said Director-Public Guardian Sharon Nevins. “This event continues to demonstrate the power of collaboration in advancing the well-being of older adults and individuals with disabilities in our communities.”

This year’s theme, “Branching Connections Across Generations,” focused on fostering intergenerational engagement to support the well-being of older adults and individuals with disabilities. Workshops and presentations explored how technology can connect generations by addressing digital literacy and scam prevention, and by providing strategies to reduce social isolation through inclusive collaboration.

The conference earned strong praise for its engaging sessions, welcoming venue, and the exceptional contributions of vendors and sponsors. Distinguished guests included County Chief Executive Officer Luther Snoke, Assistant Executive Officer Gilbert Ramos, keynote speaker Dr. Wenli Jen, and DAAS–PG leadership, alongside representatives from the Senior Affairs Commission and county departments.

The annual MDT Conference continues to be an important event, uniting professionals and community members in the shared mission of protecting and empowering San Bernardino County’s most vulnerable residents.
