New flooring, new exhibits, new activities at County Museum November 6, 2013 County Museum Final touches are being made to the new flooring in the Life in the Air galleries, the Mammal Hall and connecting ramps at the County Museum. The opening night party and exhibit preview for “Portraits and Views: The Redlands Photographic Studio 1897–1924” is November 8 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The preview party is open to the public without charge, but reservations are requested: www.exhibitpreview.eventbrite.com The museum’s education division will present “Do Canids have Canines” on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This “dog day at the museum” includes tips on selecting family pets, a chance to meet greyhounds from GreySave, discussions about the care and training of family dogs, talks about wild canids such as wolves and coyotes, and dog-related crafts and activities for children and families. All activities are included with paid museum admission.
