

The Board of Supervisors encourages residents to participate in the county’s budget process. During the workshop, county leadership will present a preliminary budget and financial outlook, giving residents an opportunity to learn how the county plans to allocate resources, understand key priorities and support services in the coming year.
Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting in person, watch online and submit comments during the budget process.
Key dates in the budget process include:
March 24 – Budget Overview
The county chief executive officer and chief financial officer presented on the 2026-27 Budget Financial Update. To view the archived meeting, visit the SB County Broadcast Network.
May 5 – Budget Workshop and Fiscal Overview
A preliminary 2026–27 budget presentation will be provided to the Board of Supervisors and to the public.
May 19 – Recommended Budget Book delivered
The Recommended 2026–27 Budget Book will be delivered to the Board of Supervisors and made available to the public.
June 9 – Budget hearing and adoption
Residents may provide comments during the Board of Supervisors meeting before the final 2026–27 Budget is adopted.
December – Final Budget Book published
The Adopted 2026–27 Budget Book will be published.
Meeting date, time and location
Board of Supervisors meetings are held in the Covington Chambers on the first floor of the County Government Center, 385 N. Arrowhead Ave., San Bernardino. Regular Board meetings are generally held on Tuesdays and begin with a closed session at 9 a.m. and a public session at 10 a.m.

Videoconferencing sites
For the Tuesday, May 5 meeting, alternate locations to address the board by interactive video will be available at:
- Bob Burke Joshua Tree Government Center, 63665 Twentynine Palms Highway, Joshua Tree
- Jerry Lewis High Desert Government Center, 15900 Smoke Tree St., Hesperia
These locations may be closed due to inclement weather, technology failure or other unforeseen emergencies. If a site is closed, notice will be posted by 9 a.m. on the day of the meeting.
