The San Bernardino County Department of Public Health invites residents to celebrate National Breastfeeding Month and Black Breastfeeding Week by attending a Community Baby Shower and Health Fair Event taking place on Saturday, Aug. 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ayala Park Community Center located at 17909 Marygold Ave. in Bloomington.
Every year, August marks the celebration of National Breastfeeding Month, a time to recognize and promote the significant benefits of breastfeeding for both mothers and babies.
This year’s theme is “Enabling Breastfeeding, Making a Difference for Parents.” Our goal is to make a difference for moms-to-be and nursing moms by providing tips on how to prepare to go back to work, free breast pumps, free breastfeeding supplies and linking them to community resources.
