CEO Luther Snoke has appointed Diane Rundles as the county’s new chief operating officer and Matthew Erickson as the chief management officer. Additionally, Diana Atkeson has been promoted to chief financial officer.
The updates mark the completion of Snoke’s third year on the job and come after months of planning and coordination to streamline and enhance county leadership. The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved the action on Oct. 6.
“As part of the updated structure, our organization is now aligned across three primary service areas: Constituent Services, Internal Government Services, and Public Safety & Communications,” Snoke said. “These groupings are intended to strengthen alignment among departments with related functions, clarify executive oversight, and support greater coordination across the organization.”
Rundles formerly served as assistant executive officer and Erickson as chief financial officer. Atkeson previously served as assistant chief financial officer. As they move into their new positions, the organizational structure will shift so that there will be no net increase in positions.
