Homeless pets in need of loving homes return to the 7th Annual Mega Pet Adoption Event at Yucaipa Community Park on Saturday April 28 and Sunday April 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Animal shelters and rescue groups from throughout the county will have cats and dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds available for adoption at the two day event. In addition to pet adoptions, there will also be a low cost vaccination clinic offered both days. On-site licensing will be available for residents of Yucaipa and the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County. Merchandise and food vendors will also be participating.
Members of the Inland Empire Squad of the Southern California Garrison, 501st Legion will be in full trooper regalia on Sunday during the event on Sunday.
“The Homeward Bound Mega Adoption Event is a great way to bring pet rescues and people together for successful adoptions,” stated Annette Florez, executive director of the Yucaipa Animal Placement Society (YAPS). “Rescues working together with local agencies is important to address the homeless animal problem. We look forward to many successful adoptions over the weekend.”
“Hundreds of animals have been adopted at previous Mega Pet Adoption Events” said Brian Cronin, division chief of San Bernardino County Animal Care and Control. “We are happy to return with our partners to Yucaipa for the seventh year to find loving, furever homes for homeless animals.”
Yucaipa Community Park is located at 34900 Oak Glen Road in the city of Yucaipa.
