  1. Question: about Joshua trees. I know they’re protected, but I recently heard that there is usually a fee charged for permission to remove them. Our 5 acre property, which had several hundred Joshuas, was completely affected by the Blue Cut Fire. We had not actually made plans to remove any of the burned trees, because we thought possibly some or most could regrow – so we thought we would let them all stand as they are, for probably the rest of the year.
Later, when we know which ones will remain alive, we would want to remove the definitely dead ones – will there be a fee for that? Will there be any waiver for lost trees due to this fire?

    1. If your vehicle was damaged in connection with the Blue Cut fire or any other incident, your vehicle insurance is most likely your only option for paying for repairs. You can call 211 to find out if any other assistance is available.
