Evacuation shelters
Red Cross shelters are available for displaced residents who have been evacuated, with additional services including food, rest areas and pet accommodations.
- Jessie Turner Health & Fitness Community Center: 15556 Summit Ave., Fontana
- San Bernardino County Fairgrounds: 14800 7th St., Victorville
The County Department of Public Health, Department of Behavioral Health, Department of Aging and Adult Services and County Library staff are providing assistance at the shelters.
For those staying at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds or Jessie Turner Health & Fitness Community Center evacuation centers, your pet is allowed to be sheltered onsite.
Victor Valley Transit offers free transportation from the Victorville evacuation site to nearby stores at daily hours; Mountain Transit Authority provides free rides to the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds evacuation center at daily hours.
The Big Bear Animal Shelter is closed due to the Line Fire. The county is safely relocating all pets to the Devore and Apple Valley Animal Shelters temporarily. If you reside in the Big Bear Animal Shelter’s service area and require evacuation support for your pets or livestock, the Devore Animal Shelter staff is prepared to offer temporary shelter and care.
