On April 14, leaders from San Bernardino County, Rancho Cucamonga, Chaffey College and the California Office of the Small Business Advocate came together to celebrate the graduation of 33 entrepreneurs from the Emprendedor@s Program.

The Emprendedor@s Program, founded by Monica Robles of Asociación de Emprendedor@s, is an eight-week entrepreneurship academy that educates, motivates, empowers and develops the leadership and business skills of Hispanic entrepreneurs and microentrepreneurs to help them achieve success in their businesses.

According to Asociación de Emprendedor@s leadership, developing an entrepreneurial mindset and knowledge of business fundamentals are vital to helping women and minorities obtain economic self-sufficiency through business ownership. Their programs, offered in Spanish, provide individuals with a personalized approach to help them develop a unique path towards launching a microbusiness and positioning themselves for long-term stability and success, all provided at no cost. Participants in the program study these five areas: training in business fundamentals, building a success mindset, providing access to financial resources, developing supportive mentorship relationships and setting accountability milestones.

The recent graduation celebration marked the second Rancho Cucamonga cohort to complete the program.
