County Library unveils a renewed space for reading and connection at Montclair Branch with ribbon cutting ceremony

A fresh new chapter is beginning at the Montclair Branch Library.
The San Bernardino County Library invites the community to celebrate the reopening of the newly refreshed Montclair Branch Library during a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, Nov. 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The celebration will give residents an opportunity to be among the first to explore improvements designed to create a more welcoming, comfortable and functional library experience. Updates include a new interior layout, updated flooring and new study rooms, providing customers with refreshed spaces to read, study, connect and learn.
“Our libraries continue to evolve alongside the communities they serve, and these improvements reflect our commitment to creating spaces where residents feel welcome and inspired,” said County Librarian Melanie Orosco. “We are excited to reopen the Montclair Branch and welcome families back to a refreshed space where they can read, learn and connect for years to come.”
The free celebration will offer something for the whole family, including craft stations, face painting, balloon artistry and a special circulation incentive encouraging visitors to explore the library’s collection while enjoying the festivities.
The reopening represents more than a refreshed physical space. It continues the county’s commitment to investing in library environments that support literacy, education and lifelong learning while responding to the changing needs of the communities they serve.
Whether returning to a familiar favorite or discovering the branch for the first time, residents are invited to turn the page and see what’s new at the Montclair Branch Library.
The ribbon cutting celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at the Montclair Branch Library, 9955 Fremont Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
