We would like to thank Heather Hill of Redlands for submitting outstanding photos of her favorite San Bernardino County destination.
The Oak Glen Schoolhouse in Yucaipa was built in 1927 and served the community for many years. It eventually closed down in 1965 due to low student enrollment and failing to meet the earthquake standards of the Field Act of 1965. Today, visitors can tour the schoolhouse on weekends from noon to 4 p.m. when schoolhouse staff are present. The property also includes a dog park, a large playground and restrooms, which are open to the public every day from dawn to dusk. For more information, please visit the Special Districts website.
