One hundred years of Route 66 calls for a celebration. In honor of this milestone, San Bernardino County is launching a Route 66 photo contest to highlight iconic places along America’s most famous highway.
Entries may include sites such as Elmer’s Bottle Tree Ranch in Oro Grande, the Bagdad Cafe in Newberry Springs, Roy’s Motel & Cafe in Amboy, Cucamonga Service Station in Rancho Cucamonga, the McDonald’s Museum in San Bernardino, the Madonna of the Trail in Upland, and other Route 66 roadside stops and landmarks across the county.
Selected photos will be posted to the county’s Instagram, X and Facebook pages. The top two winners will be determined by the total number of likes across all three platforms. The photo that receives the most likes will win a San Bernardino County Regional Parks annual pass for one vehicle, including admission to Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park, Glen Helen Regional Park, Mojave Narrows Regional Park, Prado Regional Park and Yucaipa Regional Park (this pass does not include Moabi, Lake Gregory or Calico). Additionally, the entry with the second highest number of likes will win one Big Bear Alpine Zoo annual pass.
