During the week of Oct. 12, Operation Consequences in San Bernardino and neighboring communities resulted in 30 felony arrests, 17 misdemeanor arrests and 35 warrant arrests.

During the one-week period, 19 search warrants were served. As a result, investigators contacted gang members and individuals who are prohibited from possessing firearms. Investigators seized 20 firearms, including nine ghost guns. The operation was led by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Gangs/Narcotics Division along with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Additionally, the San Bernardino Movement Against Street Hoodlums (SMASH) Street Enforcement Team (SET) conducted proactive patrols in the San Bernardino area and surrounding jurisdictions.

Operation Consequences continues to focus on conducting targeted crime suppression operations and parole and probation checks in the High Desert and the Sheriff’s jurisdiction surrounding the city of San Bernardino. Operation Consequences will take place over the next several months to curb violent crime, disrupt and dismantle targeted criminal street gangs, and locate and arrest criminals who are illegally possessing, manufacturing and trafficking firearms.
