The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved funding to reduce pet adoption fees through the Community Concerns General Fund. From now through June 2024, when you adopt from one of the county animal shelters, adoption fees for cats and dogs are reduced. The cost of adoption is $10 for cats and $20 for dogs. All pets come spayed or neutered, microchipped and receive most vaccines.
This funding serves a crucial public role by encouraging animal adoptions by reducing cost-related barriers to adoption. This initiative is set to make a positive impact on the lives of animals in our shelters looking to find their forever homes.
