The San Bernardino County Library invites residents of all ages to participate in the family-friendly gamer-themed events and programs offered at several local libraries during the month of September.

Join the experience with fun-filled crafts, face painting, balloon artists, and games while browsing for books, magazines and more.

Visitors should bring their library cards, as every 15 items checked out during the events earns visitors a fun incentive and a drawing ticket for a chance to win awesome prizes. 

The San Bernardino County Library gamer events will take place in the following locations:

  • Sept. 11 from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Baker Family Learning Center and Library at 2818 Macy St. in Muscoy
  • Sept. 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Newton T. Bass Apple Valley Library at 14901 Dale Evans Pkwy. in Apple Valley
  • Sept. 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Sam J. Racadio Library & Environmental Learning Center at 7863 Central Ave. in Highland
  • Sept. 14 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Mentone Library at 1331 Opal Ave. in Mentone
  • Sept. 19 from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Lake Arrowhead Library at 27235 Highway 189 in Blue Jay
  • Sept. 25 from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Loma Linda Library at 25581 Barton Rd. in Loma Linda
  • Sept. 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Lewis Library & Technology Center at 8437 Sierra Ave. in Fontana
  • Sept. 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the James S. Thalman Library at 14020 City Center Dr. in Chino Hills

The library is also hosting gamer-themed paint nights, where residents can paint their own artwork to take home at the following locations:

  • Sept. 23 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Bloomington Library at 18028 Valley Blvd. in Bloomington
  • Sept. 30 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Yucca Valley Library at 57271 29 Palms Highway in Yucca Valley

These events are an opportunity to celebrate and support the Countywide Vision’s literacy campaign, Vision2Read.
