San Bernardino County Regional Parks is excited to announce the completion of the new equestrian facilities at Mojave Narrows Regional Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, April 30, at 11 a.m. Free park admission will be offered for visitors from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. to join the celebration and tour the new barn, corrals and arena area. Light refreshments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The project upgrades include a prefabricated barn with horse stalls and storage room for tack and feed, water and electrical conduits, corrals, spectator seating, lighting and Public Address (PA) system in the arena area, as well as new water troughs and hitching posts. Funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the project broke ground in January 2025, at a cost of approximately $1.6 million.
Regional Parks Director Beahta Davis said the new equestrian facility supports the department’s mission to invest in and preserve cultural and historical park resources.
“I am excited about this new amenity, and the department is looking forward to increased programs and activities for the equestrian community,” said Davis.
The revitalization of Mojave Narrows Regional Park aligns with the Countywide Vision by connecting and beautifying communities through shared open spaces.
