San Bernardino County Animal Care celebrated a successful California Adopt-A-Pet Day, with 26 pets adopted into loving homes during a day filled with community connection, family activities and support from local partners.

Animal Care joined more than 150 shelters and rescue organizations across the state in helping shelter pets find loving homes. This statewide initiative offered waived adoption fees, making it easier for families to welcome a new companion into their lives.

The event welcomed residents with a variety of fun and engaging attractions, including a photo booth, raffle drawings, a kids activity table and a Starbucks beverage and snack table. Community partners added to the festive atmosphere with vendor booths from MetLife, Paw Mission, PetSmart, Petco, Houndsquad Bandanas and the San Bernardino County Library, along with live entertainment from radio station 99.1 KGGI.

“Seeing our community come together to support shelter pets was truly inspiring. Every adoption represents hope, compassion and a fresh start,” said San Bernardino County Public Health Assistant Director Jennifer Osorio. “We are grateful to everyone who helped make this event a success for our animals and our county.”

San Bernardino County Animal Care extends its heartfelt thanks to all attendees, volunteers, partners and families who helped make the day memorable.
