Over 100 children, ranging in age from 9-months to 17-years-old, were adopted into their forever homes on Nov. 15 at the Children and Family Services (CFS) 23rd Annual Adoption Finalization Event. In partnership with the Superior Court of California and the San Bernardino County Juvenile Court, 77 families celebrated the finalization of their adoptions at the Ontario Convention Center.

Activities for the children, and their families such as face painting, balloon animals and a treasure hunt were provided while they anxiously awaited their courtroom time to have the adoption finalized.

“Our family was very excited for this day,” said Juliet Wade, adoptive parent of 1-year-old Robert Wade. “This morning felt like Christmas morning to all of us.” CFS provides family-centered programs and services to ensure the safety and well-being of children in San Bernardino County, as well as focusing on strengthening and preserving the family unit.

“The Wade family is an example of why we do this work,” said CFS Director Jeany Zepeda. “We work towards providing a safe home for children with families to love them and help them flourish.”
