The Pioneertown Mountains Preserve covers 25,500 acres beginning from the high piney 7,800-foot ridges into the Pioneertown Valley. The preserve offers moderate to difficult hiking trails, picnicking, wildlife viewing, birdwatching and seasonal wildflower viewing. The preserve is open from dawn to dusk and is located at 51010 Pipes Canyon Rd. in Pioneertown. For more information, please visit the Wildlands Conservancy website
