A career in psychiatry is about more than treating a diagnosis. It is an opportunity to help individuals navigate complex behavioral health needs, support recovery and improve quality of life for people and families across our communities.
The San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health is highlighting the important work of its psychiatrists and the rewarding career opportunities available to professionals interested in making an impact through public behavioral health.
At Behavioral Health, psychiatrists work as part of multidisciplinary teams, providing comprehensive, person-centered care to individuals with a wide range of behavioral health needs. Their work may include psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, treatment planning and collaboration with clinicians and other care team members to support each person’s overall health and well-being.
Working within a public behavioral health system also gives psychiatrists the opportunity to serve diverse communities, address complex needs and help improve access to care for individuals who may experience barriers to behavioral health services.
Behavioral Health is looking for physicians who want to make a difference in delivering health and wellness to communities throughout San Bernardino County.
Psychiatrists at Behavioral Health join a team that is passionate about the services it provides and committed to making a difference. The department also offers benefits* designed to support physicians both professionally and personally, including:
